If you are a current customer of Web Hosting Logic or a potential customer for the Web Hosting Logic Network, we would like to explain why we have chosen not to support Front Page Server Extensions. In trying to assist customers who wish to use Microsoft's Front Page software, we have found that the server extensions which allow the user to upload web pages and image files to the server using Front page are both a security risk for our UNIX servers and require for the web server to be restarted in order for new configurations to take place.

The Web Hosting Logic Network has been built such that our web servers never have to be restarted when new customers or configuration have been added to the server. If you are currently using Microsoft Front Page and are either using or planning to use the Web Hosting Logic Network in the future, you can use standard FTP software to upload all of your files. Free FTP software is available at www.download.com. For any of the features that Microsoft Front Page can do such as "rollovers" or "search" capabilities, we have free Java and CGI scripts that can be installed.
